Sana - Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sana ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use the Sana women's health and PCOS tracking application.
1. Information You Enter
Sana allows you to record and review women's health information, including menstrual cycle details, symptoms, personal notes, laboratory test results, medical reports, and information about medications and supplements.
Some of this information may be considered sensitive personal or health information. Please enter only information you are comfortable storing on your device.
2. Local Data Storage
Based on the App's current design, information you enter and health files you add are stored locally on your device. Sana does not require you to create an account, and the developer does not operate a cloud database for these records.
The developer does not receive information stored locally through the App's own storage features. However, third-party services, device backups, or other features may process information as described in this policy.
Your records may be lost if you uninstall the App, clear its data, lose your device, or your device is damaged. Device-level backup and transfer services are governed by their own settings and policies.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Services
Sana displays advertisements through a third-party advertising service. Depending on the provider and configuration, the service may collect or process information such as device identifiers, IP address, advertising interactions, app activity, diagnostic information, and information used for advertising measurement and fraud prevention.
This information may be processed by the advertising provider according to its own privacy policy and applicable settings and consent requirements.
If Sana uses Google AdMob, you can review the following resources:
Sana is designed to keep health records and uploaded health reports on your device. The App should not send these records to the advertising provider. This must be confirmed against the actual App implementation and all installed SDKs before publication.
4. Analytics
Based on the information provided by the developer, Sana does not use a separate analytics service. However, the advertising service may process certain information for advertising measurement, diagnostics, security, and fraud prevention.
5. Files and Device Permissions
If you choose to import, attach, view, or export laboratory results or medical reports, Sana may request access to files or photos selected by you, depending on your device and the App's implementation.
The App should access only the files necessary for the feature you choose. You can manage app permissions through your device settings.
6. How Information Is Shared
The developer does not sell your locally stored health records. The developer does not receive these records through the App's local storage features.
Certain device or advertising-related information may be processed by third-party advertising services as explained above. Those services handle information under their own policies.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Records stored locally remain on your device until you delete them within the App, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App, subject to any device-level backups you have enabled.
Data retained by third-party advertising services is governed by the respective provider's policies and retention settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Sana is not designed for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to use the App independently. The intended audience and age rating should be accurately reflected in the App's store listing and settings.
If you have questions about children's privacy in relation to Sana, please contact us using the email address below.
9. Security
Sana's local-storage design helps avoid sending health records to a developer-operated server. However, no method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We recommend using a device passcode, keeping your device software updated, and restricting access to your device to people you trust.
10. Your Choices
You can choose what information to enter into Sana and whether to use its optional features. You can manage device permissions through your device settings. You can also manage available advertising and privacy settings through your device and Google account, where applicable.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features, third-party services, or applicable legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published at the same URL with a revised effective date.
Please review this page periodically for updates.
