Sana Privacy Policy
1. Information You Enter in Sana
Sana allows you to record and review women's-health information, including menstrual-cycle details, symptoms, notes, and health-related records such as laboratory results and reports. This information may be sensitive personal and health information.
Based on the app's current design, information you enter and files you add are stored locally on your device. Sana does not require you to create an account, and the app developer does not receive this locally stored information through Sana's own storage features.
2. Where Your Information Is Stored
Your entries and health files are stored on your device rather than on a server operated by the app developer. We do not operate an account system or a developer-operated cloud database for this information.
Your information may be lost if you uninstall the app, clear its storage, lose your device, or your device is damaged. Device-level backups or transfers may be governed by your device manufacturer's or operating system provider's settings and policies. Avoid storing information on a device that other people can access.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Services
Sana displays advertisements using a third-party advertising service. The advertising provider may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and advertising events, and may use cookies or similar technologies where applicable, to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. The exact information processed depends on the advertising SDK, your device settings, and the provider's configuration.
The advertising provider processes information under its own privacy policy. If Sana uses Google AdMob, please review Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Sana is designed to keep health entries and uploaded health files on your device. Do not assume that all device or advertising-related information is local: the advertising SDK may process certain device and usage data as described above. The app should not send your health entries or health files to the advertising provider; this statement must be verified against the app's actual implementation before publication.
4. Analytics
Based on the information currently provided, Sana does not use a separate analytics service. Advertising services may nevertheless collect advertising measurement, fraud-prevention, or diagnostic information as described in the Advertising section.
5. Permissions and Files
If you choose to attach, import, view, or export a health report, the app may need access to files or photos selected by you, depending on your device and the permissions requested by the installed version. Grant only permissions you are comfortable with. The app should access only the files needed for the feature you choose.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Sana does not sell your locally stored health entries or reports. The app developer does not receive these entries through the app's local-storage feature. Information processed by the advertising provider is handled as described in that provider's policy. Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law or to respond to valid legal process.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your locally stored records remain on your device until you delete them within the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to any device-level backups you have enabled. Advertising data retention is governed by the advertising provider's policies and settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Sana is not designed for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to use the app independently. If you believe a child has provided information to a service operated by the developer, contact us. The app's target age and store settings should accurately reflect its intended audience.
9. Security
We use the app's local-storage approach to avoid sending your health records to a developer-operated server. However, no device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a device passcode, keep your operating system updated, and consider who can access your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features, services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published at the same URL with a revised effective date.
